In contrast to conventional development models that define needs externally, we design and facilitate collaborative research and co-design processes that honour diverse ways of knowing and support community-led learning, action, and change. Our participatory and community-led approaches are grounded in methodological rigour and ethical accountability, ensuring that the knowledge generated is both credible and actionable. Through this approach, we help translate community-grounded knowledge into strategies and institutional practices that are more accountable and responsive.",

As a learning partner, we help organisations understand both the intended and unintended effects of their work and build more equitable, values-aligned ways of working. We guide institutions through critical reflection and structured dialogue across lines of power and positionality, supporting them to examine how power shapes their strategies, partnerships, and decision-making. "origin": "Pivot Collective began as a small feminist network of researchers, facilitators, and activists committed to reimagining how research is done, bringing together diverse forms of knowledge and practice to advance justice in health and development. Emerging in Cape Town in the wake of South Africa\u2019s student movements for decolonisation, we were motivated by a shared desire to challenge extractive research practices and open up more community-led ways of knowing and acting.",
